STAINLESS STEEL 301

Type 301 Stainless Steel, often referred to as UNS S30100, is a popular austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel that is known for its corrosion resistance. Similar to Type 304, Type 301 has lower levels of chromium and nickel which increases its cold work-hardening range.

Stainless steel grade 301 is a commonly available austenitic stainless with good corrosion resistance and elevated carbon to allow for cold working to a variety of tempers. It can be obtained in the 1/4 hard, 1/2 hard, and full hard.

stainless steel 301 Hot Rolled pipe can not be hardened by heat treatment but it can be hardened by cold treatment as it offers high strength and ductility during the cold working process. Stainless steel 301 pipes have good fabrication and welding properties. Stainless steel 301 pipes have excellent corrosion resistance to oxidation resistance at the temperature up to 1600 Degree F. Stainless steel 301 pipes possess high annealed mechanical properties.
